There are six other ways to get a script written, and for some people one of them is the better buy. I sell FacelessOS, so check my numbers against the pages I link.
Here is what each one costs and who it fits.
1. Raw ChatGPT or Claude
Cost: free, or about $20 a month for the paid tier.
This is where everyone starts and it is a fine place to start. You will get a usable outline in a minute. The problem shows up on the second draft: the same openers, the same rhythm, the same "did you know" hooks, and a script that reads like every other AI script in your niche.
Pick this if you are testing whether you even like making videos. Spend nothing until you have uploaded ten.
I wrote the longer comparison here: FacelessOS vs ChatGPT.
2. Prompt template packs
Cost: usually cheap, one time.
A pack of prompts is a set of single instructions. It is better than a blank box. It does not carry a method across a whole script, so the hook prompt does not know what the retention prompt promised.
Pick this if you only need help with one piece, like titles, and the rest of your process already works.

3. A script platform with a monthly plan
Cost: Subscribr is one example. Its pricing page lists $99, $249 and $499 a month as of September 20, 2026, with a cheaper first month.
These are full platforms. Subscribr's paid plans include an ideation bot, a script agent, a thumbnail studio and minutes of video generation. That is a lot more than scripts. You pay every month and scripts draw from a credit allowance.
Pick this if you want ideas, scripts, thumbnails and video in one login and you would rather pay monthly for a platform than pay once for files.

4. A freelance scriptwriter
Cost: per script, every script.
A good writer is still the best option if you can find one and afford one. The catch is both of those. On my own sales page I put it this way: $699 is what a mediocre scriptwriter charges for one or two scripts.
Pick this if you have revenue, you do not want to touch the script at all, and you have found a writer whose work you would put your channel's name on.
5. Build your own system
Cost: your time.
Skill files are plain text. Nothing stops you from writing your own, feeding your AI your best scripts, and building a process around your channel. One member runs his own extra rules alongside FacelessOS. And one prospect told me his custom agents already worked for him. I told him that if he is happy with his output, he probably does not need this.
Pick this if you already have scripts that perform and you enjoy building tools.
6. Learn to write them yourself
Cost: free, plus months.
A lot of what I know about hooks, retention and structure is on this blog, free. It took me thousands of scripts to learn it. It will take you fewer, because it is written down now.

When FacelessOS is the right pick
You are already making faceless videos. You use AI and rewrite most of what it gives you. You would rather pay once than pay every month. And you are fine doing the editing pass yourself.
That is a narrow group on purpose. If that is you, read the sample script and decide from the output. If you want other people's opinions first, read what members have said.
Questions people ask
What is the best alternative to FacelessOS?
It depends on what you need. If you want ideas, scripts, thumbnails and video generation inside one subscription, a monthly platform like Subscribr fits better. If you have no budget, raw ChatGPT or Claude plus free guides is the honest starting point. If you want the work done for you, hire a scriptwriter.
Is there a free alternative to FacelessOS?
Yes. Use ChatGPT or Claude directly and learn the method yourself. The Fyre Interactive blog publishes the hook, retention and structure frameworks for free. You pay in time.
Is FacelessOS a subscription?
No. It is a one-time payment of $699 for the files or $1,199 with the private Discord, and every future version is included. Your AI subscription is separate.
